Welcome!
This is the discussion forum for Cypress Online Mall. Here you will find information and the latest news about what is going on with this site.
About Cypress Online Mall:
Nearly Five months ago, My Step-Father, Micheal Jones, was approached with the idea of starting an affiliate based web page. After investing heavily into it he brought the project to me because I had the available time to donate to it that he did not have. We aren't so impressed with this site any longer because they didn't make changes we required of them. I am not apt to knock Higher Impact at this moment, because for some people what they get from this company may be what they want. I will say that correspondence and interaction with this company has been spotty and a bit slow. At the current moment it's the company that is supplying us with our desired Domain Name: CypressOnlineMall.com
We were not satisfied with this site because as soon as you click enter on our domain url the visitor is immediately redirected to the community advertising url and the head banner nor the site does not mention anything about Cypress Online Mall. Instead it tries to get people to sign up for their own web page with Higher Impact. you have to click a link to another page to find what you are looking for and then you have to scroll down to get beyond another Higher Impact - Community Advertising banner. again there is no mention of Cypress Online Mall on other pages of the web site. In addition to this problem of having to scroll down, there is a very limited selection of sites and some of the sites itself does not offer a very good selection of products to choose from. Such as Brushfire Audio books. they only have 54 books to choose from and then have a limitation on how you can listen to these books. Now that Obama's new health plan has come along, Higher Impact's proffered health plan site seems out-moded.
Because of these problems with Higher Impact, we enrolled with another program through Anthony Morrison. This site was slightly more along a workeable solution to being a "mall". It offers a wide selection of shopping sites and as well as other stuff that sounds really promising, again though they are asking for expensive advertising and management fees. After having invested so heavily with Higher Impact without success we decided to keep the web site with Anthony Morrison but we didn't want to get in too deep on a site that didn't supply us with what we want. That site is still up and running, but the links you'll need for it is in a small box that shows only one site name but when you click on it, a drop down menu that requires scrolling reveals dozen of different sites to shop from. Many of these sites do have a good selection of products and visitors will be more satisfied with what they can buy. This is only a shopping site though and most people only shop less than ten percent of their time spent on the internet. But if its Shopping that you want you can visit this site at: CypressOnlineMall2
Our Goal:
While both of these sites are functional and if a visitor has a purpose then these sites might be sufficient. But that is not what we personally wanted in a web site. We want a place where every one can live on. A home page should be a place that you turn on your computer and every thing you want is right there at your finger tips just a single click or two away. For Example: I am an Author's Muse. When I log onto the internet, I want to check my bank account, check my emails, log into my local library for research material, do a little work and then unwind with some online gaming. I want a home page that I just click the home button between each task and be able to find what I want to do right away without having to click through or type in a bunch of stuff to get there. My theory is that if I want this then there has to be other people out there looking for the same thing. Thats the Website I want to build. A home page that gives you what you want to do without a fuss.
One More site to come!
Both Higher Impact and Anthony Morrison sites provide site management services, but the downfall is that they do all the designing and formatting. They also do the choosing of available affiliates, they are after the bottom dollar so they go for affiliates that are willing to pay them. Not every thing a visitors wants to do involves money. I like to look up movie info on Yahoo. Yahoo may be willing to pay for a link that involves making yahoo money, such as linking to the yahoo shopping pages. But why go to Yahoo for shopping when you can stay where you are for the same selection?
My Goal for this third Web site is to create a page that can be saved as your home page and will provide you with links to your banking account, movie info, shopping, The social networking pages, as well as links to gaming, research, education, general information, search engines, and even reference sites such as wikipedia and dictionary.com
I am cureently in the process of designing this page and hope that the beginnings of this page will be available as soon as two weeks from this date, about April 15th of 2010. Please be patient while this site is under construction.
Also Note that Higher Impact has promised to make improvements on that website and until a decision has been made about them the long Url for the latest Cypress Online Mall page will be quite hefty. once the third site is up it is best to either bookmark it, add it to your favorites or save it as your homepage so that you don't have to type in the long url each time. For now here is a convenient link for that page: CypressOlineMall3
Please note the site isn't running yet but I hope to change that very soon.
Thank You for taking the time to read this and I hope that you will also take the time browse through our sites, and then come back and tell us what you think.
We also want to hear from you about what links you would like to see on your home page as well as any ideas you have the new site. We want this to be a page you can live on so please tell us how you want your home decorated.
Your Friendly Home Designer,
Trisha Williams.
